What is Somatics?
Somatics refers to body-based practices that help you tune into your internal experience
— your physical sensations, emotions, and the subtle signals your body is communicating to you all the time.
The word comes from the Greek word “soma,” meaning “the living body in its wholeness.”
Rather than focusing only on thoughts or behavior (like cognitive behaviour therapy for insomnia, which is offered as well in this support if needed),
somatic work helps you listen to and regulate your nervous system through the body itself.
This is especially powerful when it comes to sleep, stress, and trauma recovery.

Cognitive behavior therapy for insomnia (CBT-i) is a structured and evidence-based approach to healing insomnia. It focuses on exploring the connection between the way we think, how we sleep, and our habits affecting sleep. We examine thoughts, behaviors, and feelings that are contributing to the symptoms of insomnia.
• It is the most effective and scientifically proven treatment for adults with chronic insomnia.
• It has a 90% effectiveness on reducing or eliminating the use of sleeping pills
• It is more effective than sleeping pills with a 75-80% effectiveness in curing insomnia.
• CBT-i has no side effects and can also help with anxiety, depression, and chronic inflammation.
